Anna Goodman

Anna Goodman is a consultant in Infectious Diseases at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust where she has written local guidelines and participates in a vascular/diabetes/podiatry/infection multi-disciplinary team meeting with colleagues. As an honorary Professor in Infectious Diseases at the UCL Innovative Clinical Trials Unit she is UK Chief Investigator for a global trial in S. aureus bloodstream infection in which approximately one third of patients have diabetes. This trial has established the use of an antibiotic called cefazolin which is widely used in the USA and in those on haemodialysis but less frequently used in the UK. She will talk about this antibiotic in her talk and the evidence for its use.
